The worst walk
So I took Benny on a long walk on Wednesday afternoon with my Mom and my other 2 dogs..
So I was walking Benny, and let me tell you " he was the worst dog I ever walked". He was barking at everything ( Cars, People, Dogs) you name it he was barking at them. But he did not pull like my other 2 dogs do and I am glad that he is so easy to walk but it is the fact that he barks at everything.. And I am going to teach him not to bark at everything.. Next time I take him out for a walk I will be taking treats and tell him to " sit and stay " and turn around and walk the other way. And one more thing I can do is not walk when he is barking, and walk again when he is not barking and give him a treat. When my Mom was talking to our neighbor Benny was so bad, he would not stop barking!!
He sleeps right beside me and sleeps under the blankets.. Tuesday Night I was watching tv and Benny will not fall asleep and I turned the tv off at 10:00 that night and Benny will not fall asleep, Benny kept jumping off the bed and then at 10:30 I took Benny outside for him to go to the bathroom on a leash and then he slipped through his collar and was running around the back yard and was barking.. I went back inside and went upstairs to get my Moms boyfriend that he needs to help me get Benny. And then he was fine for the rest of the night..

Adventure of a Jackabee
So I saw this in a Jackabee group on Facebook-
A member of the group published a childrens book called Adventure of a Jackabee by Mjt Abbott. It is about a Jackabee name Roxy.
My Jackabee is 9 month old now and he loves to hunt for birds he runs all over the yard and tries to kill them!! SMH!! Lol!! But I won't change him for anything, I love the breed because they are so loyal and sweet and independent. And he is such a big snuggler. Sometimes I wish I could of have gotten on of his brothers and sisters also, that is how much we love the breed.
Benny will be 1 year old on March 27th and I already know what we are getting him for his birthday :)!!

More about the Breed
Temperament: There are problems in the temperament of this breed but as it is new these could be bred out. These are that the Jackabee can be very shy and due to fear aggressive so socializing this breed is very important from a young age to help them be confident in there lives. They need an owner that can train the dog in basic obedience but this dog is harder to train because they get distracted easily, so short lessons a few times a day work better than long sessions where they tend to switch off. Training needs to be fun and give fast rewards for training well done. Remember the training needs to be done a few times a day, every day. Harsh training doesn't work for this breed but quick fun reward sessions work better. Set house rules and boundaries to help the dog know there place in the family, this gives them security.
The Jackabee is a dog who needs a lot of walking daily or jogging is a must.
If they do not burn off the energy then you might have problems later on in life, such a chewing or obsessively barking, an odd Beagle howling. Have chew toys that are for chewing and do not accept anything else being chewed. This is a rule that needs to be in the house rules for this dog. No feeding at the table, is another rule that only teaches the dog manners but there health as well, as they can put on weight.
No Jumping is another house rule that again helps the dog and you will find that any guest are happier as well. While out walking it is best for the dog on a lead as they are big scent smells and can be off on a scent and not be thinking about anything else. They do make good companion dogs and are good with older children and will love to be with there owners but it is best plan not to have another canine pets as the hunting instinct is still there. They can bark loudly and some training needs to be done here if this is a problem.
Health issues: The Jackabee has good health to date but it is early days of this breed and a good breeder will be able to show you health certificates ' for breeding dogs, if not walk away and find a breeder that can.
Grooming:The Jackabee needs a daily brushing to remove dead hair.
Living conditions: This is an active dog, and if you can meet the needs of daily walking and mental exerisce they can live in a apartment. The garden needs to be well fenced in as this dog can jum high, like a medium size fence.

If you think about getting a Jackabee
If you are thinking about bringing a Jackabee puppy or dog to your home is a good choice but you got some puppy proofing to do before you bring your new addition home. Jackabees are easy to train but they get distracted easily, they get a long with other dogs and when they get bored they like to chew on wood so keep them busy with toys and treats. And they also are very active breed and love to get exercise so that they can sleep through the night. They are very sweet dogs and are very smart to!! But I must beware, they can sometimes have the fiesty attitude like a Jack Russell.......
I am excited to learn more about the breed and enjoy life with my Jackabee puppy. If you want to learn more about the breed please feel free to comment on my post or contact me my email address is Daniellefetterhoff44@gmail.com!! Or you can also look it up on Google and research about Jackabees. To me the Jackabee is the best breed ever!!

It's begining to look alot like Christmas!
Yes it is begining to look alot like Christmas, in the Fetterhoff household it is :)! Benny is ready for his first Christmas at my Dads house... I am so excited for his first Christmas, so here are a few Christmas pictures!!
Finally he is potty trained
So after 6 months of hard work, Benny is fully potty trained. I am so proud of him now it is time to teach him not to jump up on people all the time!! I think it is going to be hard but other then that I think he is pretty good, Benny used to get fiesty a lot but he has not done that for a month :)!! Wohoo!! I can not believe that he will be 9 months old on the 27th, does that even seem possible??
And he will be 1 on March 27th, I admit it I spoil Benny and I wish I didn't haha but I can't help it!! He is my puppy that I take care of and he is really a great dog. On the 24th Benny and I are going to my Dad's house to spend the night, I am excited about my Dad and my nephews and my oldest sister to meet Benny! I have 2 other sisters and they both met Benny!! My Mom and I tell each other my Puppy, No My Puppy, and we go back and fourth it is so funny..
How I fell inlove with the breed!
So we all know that all Puppies are CUTE!!
This is a old picture of my baby Benny!
So I have 2 other dogs at home a 9 year old Boxer mix name Sox amd a 7 year old name Natasha. And I wanted my own puppy to take care of so I looked up puppies on a website and I was looking at all of the different puppies. And I showed my mom Benny's Brother and we both fell inlove with him!! They were 300.00$ and I thought ok lets go meet them and see what we think of them and then we will decide! So we called the owner of the puppies we were the first ones to call about the puppies. So we went to meet the puppies on my mom's birthday, when we got there and it was a chicken farm. So there was this lady who brought out 2 male puppies one of them was the one that we love on line and then there was Benny. We fell in love with him!! So we bought him!! He was the runt of the litter and we are so blessed to have him!! He is the perfect fit in the family!
We bought him in May and it is crazy how time flies by! I love my baby boy, and I am so glad that we got him. Everyone thinks he is the cutest puppy ever!!
That is my Story!!
